
Financial Project Specialist

The Project Accountant plays a pivotal role in ensuring the financial integrity of construction and real estate projects. This position involves close collaboration with project teams to accurately record actual expenditures, monitor project budgets, and promptly identify and report variances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project teams to gather and verify financial data.
- Ensure all actual project costs are accurately recorded in the accounting system.
- Monitor project budgets and flag any discrepancies or variances to management.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and forecasts for ongoing projects.
- Support project managers with financial insights and budget tracking.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support project audits.
- Maintain proper documentation for all project-related financial transactions.
- Collaborate with IT and finance teams to enhance project management systems.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification is an advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in project accounting.
- Experience in real estate management and construction project accounting is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of project budgeting and cost control.
