Business Development Executive Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Executive to lead the expansion of our solar products in Kenya and the East African region. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, identifying new business opportunities, and establishing strategic relationships with key clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for inverters and battery systems.
  • Identify, engage, and maintain strong relationships with B2B clients across various industries.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create impactful marketing campaigns, product demos, and after-sales support.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging solar technologies to inform sales strategies.
  • Ensure timely payment collection in accordance with agreed terms.
  • Submit regular reports on customer engagement, sales pipeline, wins/losses, and market intelligence.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in solar product sales, particularly in inverters and battery systems.
  • 5+ years experience and success in B2B engagement, especially within C&I solar projects.
  • Deep understanding of the East African renewable energy market.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, innovative, and driven by results.
  • Bachelor's degree in Renewable Energy, Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
