Role Description

  • Volunteer
    unpaid position for hands-on social impact seekers
  • AI Strategy & Development
    : Advise on using AI tools to streamline operations, boost digital campaigns, support education initiatives, or analyze program data.
  • Model & Tool Implementation
    : Use machine learning frameworks (e.g., Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch) to prototype or implement intelligent solutions for EUSMS's programs and impact assessments
  • Capacity Building
    : Train EUSMS team members in AI literacy, tool selection, and ethical adoption practices.
  • Ethics & Governance
    : Ensure AI applications adhere to principles of fairness, transparency, and integrity—key values for EUSMS.
  • Collaboration & Reporting
    : Coordinate with program managers and leadership, providing insights and reports based on your work.

Qualifications

Technical Expertise
: Strong background in AI/ML (e.g., Python, R, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)

Domain Awareness
: Understanding of development, education, or NGO operations is highly desirable.

Communication Skills
: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical, beginner-friendly knowledge for the team.

Ethical Aptitude
: A keen stance on responsible AI usage, aligning with EUSMS's universal principles.

Flexible Commitment
: Similar to other volunteer roles, a minimum of 8–10 hours/week with hybrid or remote flexibility
