Role Overview

As the Brand Marketing Manager for Kenya at , you will own and grow in the Kenyan market. 

You will be close to our Kenyan team and customers, ensuring that we are targeting our offering correctly and resonating with the local market. At we offer amazing hosting and we want to present those offerings to our local clients in the right priority and at the right price point to maximise our impact. 

As champions of open source such as WordPress, we want to integrate ourselves with the local WordPress community.

You will localize our global brand strategy, develop and execute marketing plans tailored to local customer needs, and ensure our website, campaigns, and content resonate with local audiences. Working closely with global marketing, product, and creative teams, you will be the voice of the brand in your country—driving brand visibility, trust, and customer acquisition while ensuring consistency with global standards.

What You Will Do

1. Market Strategy & Planning

·       Develop and implement a local brand and marketing strategy aligned with 's global objectives.

·       Identify key growth opportunities, competitive advantages, and emerging market segments.

·       Plan annual and quarterly marketing calendars in coordination with global teams.

·       Work with local partners to further in the region.

·       Choose which products you wish to prioritise on our localised website and at what price points, then implement those changes

·       Report biweekly to the wider team on performance and KPIs

2. Brand & Content Ownership

·       Own the brand's tone, messaging, and positioning within your market, ensuring alignment with global guidelines while adapting to local culture and customer preferences

·       Localize website copy, visuals, and landing pages; manage translation and adaptation workflows.

·       Collaborate with content and SEO teams to produce local blog articles, PR releases, and social media content that builds brand authority.

·       Work with customers to organise case studies

·       Build relationships with our largest customers in the region.

·       Send out update newsletters to customers

·       Attend local events to build relationships and make a trusted voice in the region.

3. Pricing & Commercial Support

·       Monitor local market prices, competitor offers, and promotional activities across key channels.

·       Propose and justify local price adjustments, campaigns, and discount structures in collaboration with the global commercial and pricing teams.

·       Provide market-based input for multi-year or indexation pricing models, helping ensure competitiveness and profitability.

4. Campaign Management

·       Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns (digital, social, influencer, and partnerships) to drive awareness and customer inflow.

·       Manage local agencies and freelancers for creative, media, or PR deliverables.

·       Continuously optimize campaign performance through A/B testing and analytics insights.

5. Partnerships & PR

·       Identify and develop partnerships, sponsorships, and influencer collaborations to expand reach and credibility.

·       Build relationships with media outlets to secure coverage and strengthen brand reputation.

6. Website & Performance

·       Collaborate with global web, content and UX teams to ensure local website pages are optimized for visibility, conversion, and SEO.

·       Monitor key metrics (traffic, conversion rate, brand search, acquisition cost) and report regularly with actionable insights.

7. Customer & Market Insights

·       Conduct ongoing market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and sentiment.

·       Track competitor launches, promotions, and positioning to inform pricing and messaging decisions.

·       Present market insights and recommendations to influence product, marketing, and pricing strategy at HQ level.

8. Cross-Functional Collaboration

·       Work closely with global brand, marketing, product, website, content and revenue teams to ensure alignment of campaigns, pricing, and product strategy.

·       Coordinate with local sales and support teams to ensure a consistent and high-quality customer experience.

What You Will Bring

·       Experience selling web hosting, WordPress or domain names.

· years of experience in brand management, marketing, or commercial strategy, ideally in tech, SaaS, or digital services.

·       Proven success managing localized marketing campaigns and pricing initiatives

·       Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

·       Fluent level of English proficiency

·       Comfortable balancing strategy with hands-on execution.

Preferred / Desirable Experience

  • Experience in Hosting is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of competitive pricing analysis, elasticity studies, or promotion planning
  • Familiarity with CMS, analytics, and SEO tools
  • Existing relationships with local media, influencers, or agencies.
