Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Nairobi County, Kenya, for the position of Head of Collections and Recovery. The role involves overseeing the collections and recovery operations, creating and implementing strategies to improve collection rates, and managing the collections team. The candidate will liaise with clients, evaluate their financial situations, and establish effective recovery plans. The Head of Collections and Recovery will be responsible for analyzing financial data related to collections and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in Debt Collection and Collections Management
  • Strong Analytical Skills to evaluate financial data and develop recovery strategies
  • Experience in Team Management with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively
  • A solid understanding of Finance principles and practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and conflict resolution skills
  • Educational qualifications in Business Administration, Finance, or related fields is preferred
  • Experience in the microfinance or financial services sector is an added advantage.
