ADVOCACY & INFLUENCE MANAGER

As the Advocacy & Influence Manager, you'll be at the heart of shaping impactful Advocacy and Influence strategies across multiple brands. Partnering closely with the agency, you'll identify and collaborate with creators using tools like Traackr, craft compelling influencer briefs, and ensure campaigns align with group norms.

You'll also work with agencies to optimize advertising strategies, negotiate placements, and track performance to maximize impact. From planning content to launching campaigns on time, your work will connect brands with audiences and drive measurable results.

Here's What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Influencer Marketing Collaboration & Management:

  • Maintain consistent daily communication with the agency.

  • Collaborate with agency on working with creators.
  • Utilize Traackr to identify suitable creator voices – track performance and report.
  • Support the building of relationships with talent (creators).
  • Assist in planning content that connects with target audiences.
  • Demonstrate the impact of influencer efforts on brand and sales.
  • Assist brand teams in writing effective influencer briefs.
  • Liaise with dedicated executives from the agency who are assigned to each brand for campaign support
  • Identify and cultivate brand-specific opportunities across various divisions.
  • Establish and nurture critical relationships with relevant L'Oréal JBP's

  • Media Planning & Buying Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Media Shop, the agency responsible for media placements.

  • Collaborate on advertising channel strategy.
  • Support the negotiation of rates for all media placements (on a flowplan).
  • Work with Media Shop to adjust campaigns based on data insights.
  • Ensure advertising spend is effective and reaches the intended audience.
  • Support brand divisions to ensure all campaigns launch on time.

You are a proactive leader who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments, with a proven ability to translate complex information into compelling messages that resonate across diverse platforms.

Your approach is data-informed, allowing you to not only identify key opportunities but also to measure the tangible impact of your efforts. You'll be an expert at building and maintaining key relationships, whether with external agencies, or internal brands. Adaptable and collaborative, eager to drive L'Oréal's reputation forward by integrating media presence with targeted advocacy and influencer initiatives.

Here's What You'll Bring To The Table

  • Proven experience in media relations, advocacy, or influencer marketing, including external agency management.
  • Track record of developing and executing successful campaigns.
  • Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, collaborate seamlessly with various stakeholders and provide proactive support to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Actively involved in exploring the East African culture and is great at spotting trends and the next cool thing

You'll Thrive In This Role If You Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in advocacy, influencer marketing, advocacy, or digital marketing.
  • A passion for innovation, creativity, and delivering exceptional brand experiences.
  • Proficiency with influencer management platforms (e.g., Traackr) and media planning/buying principles.
  • Strategic thinking with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
