Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the heavy construction and automotive sectors.
  • Conduct product presentations, equipment demonstrations, and site visits to potential clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, fleet managers, government agencies, and equipment leasing firms.
  • Prepare and submit sales quotations, tender documents, and follow up on approvals.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts in line with company policies and profitability goals.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
  • Liaise with service, logistics, and finance teams to ensure timely delivery and after-sales support.
  • Prepare regular sales forecasts, activity reports, and market intelligence updates.
  • Train and mentor junior sales staff to enhance team performance and customer service delivery.
  • Represent the company at trade fairs, exhibitions, and client meetings to promote brand visibility.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Sales & Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum
    5 years of proven sales experience
    in heavy construction equipment, trucks, or automotive industry.
  • Strong technical understanding of construction machinery (e.g., excavators, loaders, graders, trucks, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.
  • Valid Kenyan driving license and willingness to travel frequently within the country.
