The Opportunity:

We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Logistics & Packhouse Manager to oversee our crucial post-harvest and supply chain operations for export. This role is vital for ensuring timely delivery, maintaining product quality, and optimizing efficiency from our farm to our clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Logistics & Export Management: Ensure timely dispatch of customer and export orders, manage all export documentation (ECS, Kentrade, Afaimis) and handle freight planning and communications.

  • Order Accuracy & Fulfillment: Supervise picking, packaging, and loading to guarantee correct orders and maintain meticulous delivery documentation.

  • Cold Chain & Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor strict cold chain protocols throughout handling, storage, and transport.

  • Loss Prevention: Develop and execute measures to reduce product damage during transit.

  • Operational Efficiency: Optimize raw material utilization in packing, track and resolve delivery complaints, and ensure consistent client service levels.

  • Delivery Optimization: Plan and monitor routes and timelines to achieve high delivery time SLA compliance.

  • Packhouse Operations: Oversee daily packhouse activities, including grading, packaging, hygiene, and cold room management, ensuring smooth product flow.

What You'll Bring:

  • A strong commitment to integrity and transparency.

  • Proven 7 years of experience in logistics, export operations, and/or packhouse management, ideally within the agricultural/horticultural sector.

  • Expertise in relevant export documentation and systems.

  • Demonstrable understanding of cold chain management.

  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Degree in a relevant field i.e., Logistics, Horticulture/Agriculture
