Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Construction Supervisor to manage on-site delivery of solar and energy projects. Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer, this role ensures all works meet engineering, safety, and quality standards. The Construction Supervisor will oversee subcontractors, coordinate site activities, resolve technical issues, and ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective project completion.

Responsibilities

1. Engineering Standards

  • Ensure adherence to engineering and design standards across all projects.
  • Maintain organized project documentation including drawings, permits, and correspondence.
  • Verify installation quality and compliance with approved designs.
  • Use CAD tools to develop as-built drawings and support field implementation.

2. Construction Management and Safety

  • Manage all site activities, including subcontractors, labor, and equipment.
  • Oversee planning, installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
  • Address construction issues such as material shortages or design gaps.
  • Maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Conduct daily toolbox meetings on safety and work objectives.
  • Implement and monitor safe work procedures.
  • Enforce site HSE standards and ensure contractor compliance.

  • Oversee waste management and site environmental protection.

3. Testing, Commissioning, and Handover

  • Ensure all testing and commissioning steps are completed as specified and documented.
  • Compile as-built records and handover documentation.

4. Reporting and Quality Control

  • Track progress, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to resolve technical challenges.
  • Prepare daily reports on project status, quality checks, and budget updates.
  • Monitor and manage material and equipment inventories efficiently.

5. Client and Stakeholder Coordination

  • Serve as the main on-site contact for clients, contractors, and regulators.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients and suppliers.
  • Record material usage and manage storage of unused stock.

6. O&M Support and Site Surveys

  • Conduct site visits to troubleshoot and maintain operational systems.
  • Perform site surveys for new PV projects and prepare detailed reports.

Desired Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • 3 - 5 years experience supervising construction, preferably in solar or energy projects.
  • Strong grasp of engineering drawings, construction methods, and safety standards.
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple workstreams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and reporting skills.
  • Familiarity with HSE regulations and local building codes.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
