In late 1990s Hotpoint was awarded the Sole Distributorship Agency for LG Electronics. Later on, it went on to acquire agencies for other global brands including Ariston, Westpoint and Kenwood.

Job Purpose

Responsible for developing and implementing visually appealing product displays across retail and Modern Trade (MT) channels, enhancing the shopping experience and driving sales.
Work closely with the marketing team to create engaging and effective visual presentations, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints, including digital displays and online elements.
Play a key role in executing visual merchandising strategies for activations, promotions, exhibitions, and onsite sales.

Job Responsibility and Accountability

Develop and execute visually compelling displays for appliances across retail and Modern Trade (MT) channels.
Ensure all product displays are well-organized, clean, and reflective of the brand's image and values.
Ensure a uniform look and feel across all retail and modern trade outlets
Regularly update and refresh displays to align with promotional events, new product launches, and seasonal themes and specific Modern Trade requirements.
Create and implement visual merchandising plans that align with marketing and sales objectives across Retail and Modern Trade (MT) Channels
Analyse sales data and customer feedback to refine visual merchandising strategies and improve store layout.
Arrange appliances in an aesthetically pleasing manner that highlights their features and usability.
Utilize props, signage, and other materials to enhance visual appeal, supporting activations, promotions, exhibitions, and onsite sales.
Integrate digital displays and online elements with in-store visual merchandising to create a seamless omnichannel customer experience.
Ensure consistency in visual messaging across physical and digital platforms.
Manage the visual merchandising budget, ensuring all activities are completed within allocated resources.
Track expenses related to displays, materials, and digital integrations, optimizing costs while maintaining high-quality standards.
Work closely with the marketing team to ensure that visual merchandising aligns with promotional campaigns and brand guidelines.
Ensure all the marketing collateral is safely handled, removed and stored after the campaign
Coordinate with outlet staff to ensure that product placement and visual displays are consistently maintained.
Provide training and support to outlet staff on visual merchandising standards and best practices.
Offer guidance on product placement and display techniques to enhance customer engagement and sales.
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor visual merchandising strategies, and customer preferences.
Implement innovative visual merchandising techniques to maintain a competitive edge.
Ensure all displays adhere to safety and compliance regulations.
Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of displays, making adjustments as needed.
Any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Qualification, Experience and Key skills

Degree or diploma in Visual Merchandising, Marketing, Design, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in visual merchandising, preferably within the retail or appliance sector.
Strong creative and visual design skills with an eye for detail.
Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High level of initiative and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Passion for the appliances industry and a keen understanding of customer behaviour.
