Jacaranda Health is a social enterprise dedicated to transforming maternal health care in East Africa and making pregnancy and childbirth safer for women and newborns.
Main Responsibilities:- Translate insights from user research and hypothesis testing into product requirements to enrich the user experience and drive value for the health system.
- Develop a repeatable model for delivering initiatives within the product roadmap and cascade this model to other team members.
- Work with the Product team to measure and refine the product roadmap, backlog, and processes to facilitate improvements over time.
- Partner with the Tech team to align on release planning, Proof-of-Concepts, and establish concrete timelines for functional solutions.
- Advocate for and demonstrate an agile approach to product design and management.
- Collaborate with other teams to execute on Product's roadmap, engaging relevant teams during user research and sharing learnings across teams.
- Customer Feedback: defined by Jacaranda Health users and internal teams.
- Efficiency of Product Testing: defined by the number of products tested across a representative sample of users and next steps from testing.
- Product Development Velocity: the speed at which product improvements are identified and implemented.
- Team Management: ownership of defining the growth of direct reports and identifying projects/trainings to help them grow their development areas.
- Internal Consensus Building and Collaboration: successfully executing on collaborations with internal stakeholders to drive Product goals.
- User Engagement: defined by how frequently a mum engages with our platform through asked questions and survey responses.
- Consent Rate: defined as the percentage of reached mums who consent to enroll in our services.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in any field.
- Masters degree/MBA is an added advantage.
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management.
- 2+ years managing teams.
- Experience managing digital communications platforms/products.
- Experience utilizing human-centered design; certification in UX is a plus.
- Experience developing health products is a plus.
