Property Portfolio Manager

Burhani Engineers Ltd. is a leading EPC Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering company operating in the East and Central Africa region. We are seeking a highly skilled Property Portfolio Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the property portfolio, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize occupancy rates and revenue.
  • Supervise and train building supervisors, maintenance, and security personnel to ensure properties are properly maintained and management company objectives are met.
  • Collaborate with finance department to ensure timely rent collection, reporting, and budgeting.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, including fire safety, construction permits, and business permits.
  • Develop and implement procedures, processes, and controls to ensure efficient operations.
Key Duties:
  • Manage tenant relations, maintain high occupancy rates, and undertake marketing efforts for lettings.
  • Supervise and assess maintenance personnel, appointment and monitoring of contractors, and perform repair works in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Draft, distribute, file, and safeguard relevant tenant correspondence, update and organize all information relating to properties and tenants.
  • Maintain an updated database of suppliers, authorized contractors, and service providers.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for management and other departments.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum three to five years' experience in the field of real estate.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic individual with the ability to work on their own initiative and independently with minimal supervision.
  • High degree of personal and professional maturity.
  • Excellent customer service and management skills.
  • Ability to find solutions effectively.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
