About the Role



We are seeking an experienced Global Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with our country offices and partners to develop and implement mental health and psychosocial support programs for children and families affected by conflict, disaster, or poverty.



The role involves providing technical guidance and support to our country offices on mental health and psychosocial support programming, including developing project proposals, conducting assessments, and evaluating program impact. The successful candidate will also contribute to our global efforts to promote mental health and psychosocial support, including advocating for policy change and collaborating with other UN agencies and civil society organizations.



Requirements



To be successful in this role, you will need:




  • An advanced university degree in psychology, social work, or a related field;
  • A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in mental health and psychosocial support, including experience in humanitarian contexts;
  • Excellent technical skills, including expertise in program development, implementation, and evaluation;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including governments, NGOs, and community groups;
  • Fluency in English, with ability to communicate in other UN languages an asset.
