Social Policy Specialist

UNICEF is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Policy Specialist to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. As a key member of our Social Policy team, you will play a critical role in shaping and implementing our social protection agenda in the East and Southern Africa region.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical leadership and guidance to Country Offices and the Regional Office in Eastern and Southern Africa on social protection programming and policy.
- Develop and implement regional and country-level analysis and advocacy to promote the development of national social protection systems and programs.
- Contribute to global thinking and visibility on social protection development, including through analysis and advocacy.
- Build and maintain partnerships with regional and national institutions, partners, and stakeholders to promote social protection.
- Advanced university degree in Economics, Public Administration, Social Policy, or Social Protection.
- Minimum of eight years of progressive, professional work experience in social protection in applied, national, and international development settings.
- Hands-on experience and proven results in using social protection evidence to generate change at the national level.
