Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled International Learning Solutions Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for an individual with expertise in designing innovative training materials and learning experiences, as well as managing projects related to training and capacity building.

About the Role
  • Analyzing training needs;
  • Designing new curricula and/or reviewing existing ones, including revisiting and improving methodologies and formats where needed;
  • Performing training quality control and evaluation;
  • Liaising with partners to seek opportunities to host existing courses;
  • Facilitating course delivery;
  • Buidling e-learning courses or modules, where relevant.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement training programs that cater to diverse audiences;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify training needs and develop effective solutions;
  • Maintain high-quality standards in training delivery and evaluation;
  • Cultivate relationships with partners to explore hosting opportunities for existing courses;
  • Design and deliver engaging training sessions that meet learning objectives.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in international studies, international law, development studies, or similar field;
  • Experience and/or knowledge in designing learning materials for adults;
  • Experience and/or knowledge with various participatory methodological approaches to training and learning;
  • Experience and/or knowledge in the field of peace and security, development, or humanitarian fields;
  • Proficiency in English.

  • Strong teamwork skills;
  • Ability to respect diversity and work in a multi-dimensional setting;
  • Ability to take initiative and seek innovative approaches and solutions;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Ability to liaise with partner institutions in a professional manner.
Security and Safety
  • Physical and mental fitness for the role;
  • Valid automobile driving license.
Assignment Details
  • Duty station: Nairobi;
  • Duration of contract: 1 year, with the possibility of extension.
