Senior Network Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our growing network infrastructure.

As a member of our network engineering team, you will work closely with other engineers to design and develop scalable, secure, maintainable, highly available network architectures that meet business objectives and service level agreements (SLAs). You will also mentor junior engineers to troubleshoot and optimize our networks for our users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Configure and install various network devices and services, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and quality of service (QoS)
  • Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations
  • Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
  • Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
  • Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
  • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
  • Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company's security team
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, technical leads, and customers
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Technology, or a related field
  • CCNA/JNCIA/HCNA certification, CCNP or higher (CCIE and/or CISSP highly valued)
  • Proven hands-on network engineering experience
  • Skills to configure different types of switches, firewalls, and routers
  • Knowledge of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) in IPv4 and IPv6 networks, ISIS, OSPF, and MPLS VPNs
