Job Title:

Senior Legal Advisor


About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned legal professional to join our team as a Senior Legal Advisor. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a crucial role in providing expert legal support and advice to our business units.


Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality legal advice and guidance to senior management and other stakeholders
• Develop and implement effective case planning and legal research strategies
• Draft and review complex legal documents and agreements
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements


Requirements:
  • First Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Law (KSL)
  • Duly Admitted Advocate of the High Court of Kenya
  • Active member of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK)
  • 5-7 years of experience in legal advisory roles, with at least 3 years within the legal and/or financial sectors
  • Multiskilled with expertise in corporate law, financial regulations, contract negotiation, litigation management, and risk assessment

Competencies:

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts and build strong relationships with stakeholders.

Technical competencies include contract management, financial industry regulatory framework, legal advisory and interpretation, legal drafting, litigation, and legal research.
