About Pyxis
Pyxis connects Africa, Asia, and other emerging markets through one institutional settlement network. We combine stablecoin liquidity, local PSP rails, banking systems, and Asian settlement compliance in a single programmable framework that enables transparent and scalable cross-border trade across the Global South.
We are making institutional payments between Africa and Asia as seamless as domestic transfers. This addresses a real challenge within a $300B+ annual trade corridor still dependent on slow and expensive correspondent banking infrastructure.
The Role
We are hiring our first marketing lead to build our brand and shape how Pyxis is understood by partners, customers, and investors. You will develop our positioning, establish our voice, and drive awareness across the audiences that matter most to our growth.
This is a hands-on role where you will work directly with the founding team to translate complex financial infrastructure into clear, compelling narratives. You will build our content engine, manage our channels, and create the marketing systems that scale with us.
What You'll Do
Build brand and positioning
- Develop clear messaging that explains what Pyxis does and why it matters to different audiences
- Create our visual identity and brand standards
- Establish tone, content principles, and communication guidelines
Drive awareness and engagement
- Run content programs across LinkedIn, X, and relevant industry platforms
- Create thought leadership that positions Pyxis in the cross-border payments conversation
- Write customer stories, market insights, and ecosystem commentary
- Identify media opportunities that expand reach
Support fundraising and partnerships
- Ensure consistency across all external-facing content
- Develop marketing materials that support business development efforts
Establish marketing infrastructure
- Set up systems for content creation, distribution, and performance tracking
- Learn what works and iterate based on data and feedback
- Build processes that make future marketing hires more effective

- Clear brand narrative and positioning in place

- Marketing materials supporting partnerships and fundraising

Within 6 months
- Recognizable voice in the fintech and cross-border payments ecosystem
- Steady inbound interest from partners and investors
- Measurable traction across key audiences
- A marketing playbook ready for scale
What We're Looking For
Experience and background
- 1-3 years in marketing, brand, communications, or growth
- Strong writing and storytelling skills
- Experience in fintech, B2B, infrastructure, or emerging markets is valuable
- Comfortable creating content and working with design tools (Figma, Canva)
- Understanding of institutional or enterprise audiences is a plus
Skills and approach
- Can translate technical concepts into clear business value
- Thinks strategically about positioning and audience
- Works well in ambiguity and builds from scratch
- Moves quickly and learns from iteration
- Exercises good judgment on what drives real impact

Selected candidates complete a short exercise:
"Audit & Recommend."
You'll review Pyxis's current public presence (website, LinkedIn, or other mentions) and prepare a 2–3 page summary outlining:
- How Pyxis is currently positioned
- What's working and what's missing
- How the brand should evolve
- Your top 3–5 actions for the first 90 days
This stage helps us understand your strategic thinking, creative intuition, and grasp of our market.
Stage 3 — Conversation
Finalists meet the founding team to discuss product, market, and approach.
