Overview

As the Senior Sales and Business Development Consultant you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our business by identifying and pursuing new opportunities. You will be responsible for conducting market research, analysing data, setting strategic direction, and building relationships with prospective clients as well as tourism industry associations and organizations.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Development

  • Work with the Regional Leader and Global Sales & Marketing executives to develop and implement strategic business development plans and pipelines aimed at identifying new business opportunities and winning new contracts.
  • Position and profile the company as the industry leader by enhancing its profile and strengthening relationships with key tourism associations and organizations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver thought leadership, market research, multi-channel campaigns, and increase brand awareness.
  • Pro actively identify and pursue new business through networking, lead generation, and research.
  • Monitor tourism industry trends, competitive landscapes, and client preferences, providing strategic insights to inform business development activities.
  • Identify, establish, and nurture strategic partnerships, collaborations, and referral relationships to expand the company's reach and service offerings.
  • Regularly report on business development activities, progress towards goals, and key performance metrics.

Sales Strategy and Execution

  • Conduct daily prospecting to identify new leads, manage prospects, and acquire new business.
  • Build lasting relationships with prospects through effective communication, addressing their needs, and demonstrating the company's software and service offerings.
  • Develop and deliver compelling proposals and close deals by demonstrating the value of our products/services.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prospects and sales activities in the sales system (e.g., HubSpot).
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals and track progress through regular reporting.

Marketing & Promotional Activities

  • Assist in organizing promotional events and campaigns to generate leads/strengthen brand visibility.
  • Coordinate the timely production, distribution, and management of marketing collateral.
  • Provide support in creating and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns and communications.
  • Research and analyse market conditions, consumer behaviour, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and improve sales strategies.

Collaboration & Client Relationship Management

  • Work closely with the implementation manager to coordinate client requests during the sales process, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to onboarding.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure client needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the company's product and service offerings to effectively communicate their benefits to prospects and clients.

Sales Reporting & Performance Analysis

  • Compile and present detailed sales reports, including performance metrics, revenue, and lead conversion statistics.
  • Analyse sales performance data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and strategies for maximizing revenue.
Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales, business development, or a related field, preferably within the Tourism Industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Experience in lead generation, prospecting, and closing deals.
  • Strong understanding of the sales process and ability to adapt to different sales methodologies.
