Purpose

We're looking for a Go Developer with a strong open-source mindset to help build and evolve backend services for our OpenCloud groupware suite (mail, calendar, contacts). You'll work closely with product, UX, and engineering to deliver secure, scalable services that power our Web UI clients.

What you'll do

  • Design, build, and maintain backend services in
    Go
    , with a focus on groupware components (mail, calendar, contacts).
  • Contribute to system architecture and advocate for scalable, maintainable designs.
  • Implement and evolve
    gRPC
    APIs; integrate with microservices running on
    Kubernetes
    (with
    Helm
    ).
  • Write solid tests (Ginkgo) and uphold
    TDD
    practices.
  • Maintain and improve
    CI/CD
    pipelines (YAML-based) using tools like
    GitHub Actions
    and
    Woodpecker CI
    .
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product and UX to plan, deliver, and iterate on features.
  • Participate in code reviews, strengthen documentation, and share knowledge with the team.
  • Monitor performance and propose optimizations to improve availability and efficiency.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years
    professional experience, including
    3+ years
    of hands-on
    Go
    development.
  • Strong knowledge of
    gRPC
    ,
    REST
    ,
    microservices
    ,
    Kubernetes
    , and
    Helm
    .
  • Proficiency with
    Git/GitHub
    workflows and CI/CD tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions, Woodpecker CI).
  • Familiarity with
    LDAP
    ,
    OpenID Connect (OIDC)
    , and
    test-driven development
    is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, clean-code habits, and a collaborative, agile mindset.
  • Clear communication and a team-first approach.
