PROJECT MANAGER – TELECOM & CONSTRUCTION ROLLOUT IMPLEMENTATION
To lead the end-to-end delivery of telecom and construction rollout projects —including fiber deployment, tower erection, microwave links, in-building solutions (IBS), shelters, power systems, and associated civil works —ensuring all activities are completed on time, within budget, to quality standards, and in compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Project Planning & Rollout Preparation
- Develop detailed rollout schedules with milestones for site acquisition, civil works, technical installation (TI), power, and testing.
- Allocate resources, budget, and timelines for each rollout phase.
- Coordinate with design teams, permitting authorities, and procurement for smooth pre-rollout mobilization.
2. Rollout Execution & Coordination
- Oversee multi-site telecom rollout (fiber, MW, BTS, IBS) and construction works (foundations, shelters, utility buildings).
- Supervise site acquisition, logistics, and timely material delivery.
- Ensure teams adhere to client specifications and company SOPs throughout the rollout.
3. Team & Resource Management
- Lead engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors across telecom and civil disciplines.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and resolve execution challenges.
- Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, equipment, and materials.
4. Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Implement strict QHSE standards for all rollout activities.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure quality and compliance.
- Maintain zero tolerance for safety violations and report incidents promptly.
5. Stakeholder & Client Engagement
- Serve as the key point of contact for Mobile Network Operators, ISPs, government agencies, and private clients during rollout execution.
- Provide progress updates, resolve escalations, and attend project review meetings.
- Ensure smooth project handover with complete documentation.
6. Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate rollout trackers, acceptance reports, and as-built documentation.
- Submit weekly and monthly progress reports to management and clients.
- Use project management tools for real-time tracking.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in multi-site telecom and/or construction rollout projects.
- Proven track record of delivering projects for MNOs, ISPs, or infrastructure providers.
- Knowledge of Network Infrastructure, including 2G and 3G/4G networks, network upgrades and rollouts, technical knowledge for Site Engineering (Site Design), Civil Work (Infrastructure deployment) and Telecom Implementation
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
- A valid driving license is a must
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
- Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
- Excellent knowledge of telecom rollout processes (site surveys, acquisition, civil works, TI, power, fiber).
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- Budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, project tools
- Demonstrate Numerical and analytical prowess
