About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Associate to join our growing team in Nairobi. The role is ideal for a commercially minded professional with strong client acquisition, sales, and partnership-building skills. You will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new market opportunities, managing client relationships, and contributing directly to revenue growth and business expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across target industries.
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through networking, lead generation, and digital platforms.
- Develop outreach strategies to attract new clients, distributors, and partners.
- Manage client conversations, needs analysis, and solution presentations.
- Support the preparation and submission of proposals, bids, and commercial agreements.
- Facilitate strategic partnerships, MOUs, and distribution agreements.
- Collaborate with technical, marketing, and operations teams to deliver client-focused solutions.
- Represent Synkron at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
What You will Need to Succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, IT or related field.
- 3–5 years' experience in business development, account management, or sales (B2B environment).
- Proven track record in client acquisition, revenue growth, and partnership development.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (Zoho CRM preferred).
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, engineering or IT sectors in Africa is an added advantage.
- Lead Generation and Market Research expertise
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
