Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Social Media Manager for our client in the fashion industry. The role is based in Nairobi County, Kenya, with flexibility for some remote work. The Social Media Manager will manage social media marketing strategies, communicate with stakeholders, develop content strategies, optimise social media platforms, and create engaging content.

Responsibilities

  • Publish Daily - Ensure at least one new, high-quality post on Instagram and Facebook feeds, plus five engaging stories on each platform every day. Track consistency and creativity in daily postings.
  • Boost Engagement Rates - Aim to increase likes, comments, shares, and views across all platforms each quarter. Utilize engaging content, interactive posts, and audience participation strategies.
  • Grow Our Community - Increase followers on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Pinterest each month through engaging content and community interaction.
  • Optimize for Search - Craft all social media captions with SEO in mind to improve organic reach. Measure success by tracking increases in organic search traffic to our site linked from social posts
  • Elevate TikTok Presence - Achieve a targeted number of views per TikTok post and enhance engagement (likes, comments, shares) focusing on trend participation and original content creation
  • Leverage Pinterest for Traffic - Drive more traffic to our website from Pinterest monthly by creating and pinning content that links back to our site, tracking referral traffic analytics
  • Maximize Ad Efficiency - For Google and Meta ads, work towards lowering the cost per acquisition (CPA) while increasing the click-through rate (CTR) and conversion rates, reviewing campaign analytics monthly
  • Expand Our Reach - Increase the reach of our content on each social platform each quarter, utilizing hashtag strategies, collaborations, and engaging content formats
  • Increase Engagement Time - For content on platforms supporting video, like TikTok and Instagram stories, target an increase in average viewer watch time, indicating content engagement depth.
  • Monitor Brand Sentiment - Regularly conduct social listening to assess and improve brand sentiment. Aim for an increase in positive sentiment and decrease negative mentions through proactive community engagement and content optimization
  • SEO for Blog Writing - Consistently improve the search engine rankings of our blog posts by integrating targeted keywords, optimizing meta descriptions, and ensuring all content is up-to-date and relevant. Success will be measured by the increase in organic search traffic to our blog, higher visibility in search engine results pages (SERPs), and growth in the number of keywords for which our blog ranks
  • Email Marketing Performance - Increase the open and click-through rates of our email marketing campaigns by crafting compelling subject lines, personalizing email content, and segmenting the audience to ensure relevancy. Track the effectiveness of different strategies through A/B testing and adjust based on the insights gathered. Additionally, aim to grow the email subscriber list by a steady rate each month through targeted lead generation efforts and engaging content offerings.
