Role Description

This is a full-time on-site Accountant role based in Mombasa. The Accountant will handle day-to-day financial operations, including managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The role involves working closely with other team members to oversee budgeting, financial planning, and audits while maintaining accurate financial records.

Qualifications

  • Strong financial and accounting skills, including ledger management, reconciliation, and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in accounting software and tools, along with strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data and identify trends
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation and reporting
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines effectively
  • Understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements
  • Relevant academic qualifications such as a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA is an added advantage
  • Experience in an on-site work environment and ability to collaborate with teams
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
