JobTitle:      FleetCoordinatorLocation:     Nairobi, KenyaDuration:     3 Months PROFILE INTRODUCTION Our client, the world's leading logistics provider, is seeking to recruit a FleetCoordinator,  who will be responsible for overseeing the strategic and operationalmanagement ofthe organization's vehicle fleet, ensuring efficiency, regulatorycompliance, and cost -effectiveness. This role also involves managing procurement activities,maintainingstrong supplier relationships, and driving sustainability initiatives. TheFleet Coordinatorwill be based in Nairobi, Kenya, supporting the newly launched client business. RESPONSIBILITESDevelop,implement, and review SOPs to enhance distribution processes.Delivertraining programs and maintain updated training matrices for team members.Ensuretimely closure of non -conformities (NCs) and Customer Relationship Management(CRM) issues.Coordinatedistribution activities to optimize resource utilization and achieve timelydeliveries.Planand manage dispatch operations, including sourcing additional vehicles whenrequired.Monitorshipment status, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.Implementand oversee use of transport management systems like TMS SOLOPLAN and ONELINK.Monitortelematics and fleet performance metrics to identify opportunities forimprovement.Maintainclear communication with team members, transporters, and other departments.Motivateand monitor team performance while addressing any conduct issues.Ensurevehicle compliance with local regulations and safety standards.Allocateand monitor vehicle utilization to meet organizational needs. Enforcesafety protocols in line with our client and its service providers and theregulatory requirements. Promotea safe working environment within the dispatch area.Trainstaff and service providers on SOPs and maintain accurate training records. Managedocumentation and filing systems, ensuring all Proof of Deliveries (PODs) areprocessed accurately.Manageinsurance matters, including claims and incident investigations.Leveragetechnology to improve fleet monitoring and reporting. Ensuregood documentation practices in the department. RequirementsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS,SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Bachelor'sdegree in Logistics, Management, or a related field.Atleast 3 years' experience in fleet management or a related role.Provenexperience in vehicle management.Abilityto listen, build relationships with warehouse managers, as well as withleadership and functional teams.Proficiencyin Office 365, IT tools, and fleet management systems.Strongnegotiation, analytical, and problem -solving skills.Abilityto communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.Ability to workunder pressureDeciding andinitiating actionExperience withhaulers and distribution companies.Knowledge ofsustainable fleet practices and industry trends.Ability to managevendor contracts and procurement processesAdhering toprinciples and valuesGood verbal andwritten communication plus excellent telephonic skills
