Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Growth & Operations Lead based in Nairobi County, Kenya. The Growth & Operations Lead will oversee the growth strategy and daily operational needs of FleetMate. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, optimizing processes for operational efficiency, and fostering strong customer relationships. The candidate will also lead a team to drive meaningful results, manage account logistics, and collaborate with other departments to scale operations. Partial remote work is supported for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute growth strategies to drive platform adoption.
  • Identify new business opportunities with fleet owners, driver groups, and partners.
  • Support daily operational needs, ensuring smooth coordination across activities.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support retention and satisfaction.
  • Lead basic marketing and outreach initiatives to increase awareness and sales.
  • Manage account logistics, onboarding processes, and customer support interactions.
  • Collect feedback from fleet owners and share insights to guide product improvements.
  • Track performance metrics and prepare concise reports for the Founder.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline workflows and support scaling.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in operations, sales, customer success, or growth roles.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in mobility, transport, SaaS, or fintech is an added advantage.
  • Ability to analyze processes and recommend improvements.
  • Organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
