Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Accountant based in Nairobi County, Kenya. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing general accounting functions, preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and conducting financial analysis. The role also includes coordinating audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing insightful financial reporting and recommendations to support decision-making processes.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and experience in general accounting, financial reporting, and financial analysis
  • Proficiency in managing accounts payable and receivable, and preparing financial statements
  • Experience in coordinating audits and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is a plus
