Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Roofing Materials Salesman to promote and sell our range of roofing products. This role requires frequent field visits to building sites both residential and warehousing projects, and construction professionals especially Fundis using a company-provided motorbike. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and excellent knowledge of construction or building materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and sell roofing products to existing and prospective customers
  • Conduct daily field visits using a motorbike to identify new sales opportunities and map out upcoming sites/ projects
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure repeat business
  • Provide accurate information on products, pricing, and delivery timelines
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Gather market intelligence and provide feedback on competitor activities
  • Maintain accurate daily records of sales, customer interactions, and route plans
  • Deliver product samples, share quotations, and promotional materials as needed
  • Collaborate with customer service and sales manager to ensure timely order fulfillment

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in building or roofing materials
  • Must own or be able to operate a motorbike with a valid driver's license
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently
  • Familiarity with local market and construction industry trends is a plus
  • Minimum of a Technical Diploma; Plus a certificate or diploma in sales or marketing is an advantage
