Role Description

The Regional Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving strategic growth initiatives, building high-value partnerships, and expanding the company's footprint across Kenya and the wider East African region. This role requires a visionary leader who combines commercial acumen with market insight to identify new opportunities, strengthen client relationships, and translate business strategy into measurable results

Strategic Leadership & Planning

  • Develop and execute the regional sales strategy aligned with corporate objectives and market dynamics.
  • Conduct market intelligence to identify new opportunities, emerging trends, and competitive threats.
  • Forecast sales performance and provide strategic input to business planning.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to set revenue, profit, and growth targets.

Sales & Business Development

  • Drive acquisition of new clients and growth of existing accounts to achieve sales targets.
  • Expand the company's footprint by identifying and securing high-value partnerships.
  • Lead contract negotiations with key clients, ensuring profitability and compliance.
  • Monitor and analyze regional sales performance metrics and KPIs.

Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Build and sustain strong relationships with clients.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and business forums in the region.
  • Liaise with government agencies, regulators, and trade associations where applicable.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure efficient execution of go-to-market strategies and operations.
  • Optimize pricing, margins, and credit management in line with company policy.
  • Provide accurate, timely reports, forecasts, and market feedback to management.

Key Requirements/ Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field .
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Sales, Business Development or related field
  • Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to develop and execute sales strategies, and achieve sales targets
  • Strong relationship management and customer service skills
