Our client is a purpose-driven sustainability consulting firm that helps organizations achieve economic prosperity while being environmentally restorative and socially just. They advise corporates, SMEs, NGOs, investors, and development partners on integrating sustainability into strategies, operations, and investments. With a network of 20 consultants, they deliver real impact – and now they're looking for a Business Development Associate to help grow their client base and project pipeline.

Role Overview

As a Business Development Associate, you'll be at the forefront of client acquisition and revenue growth. You'll lead outreach efforts, convert leads into long-term accounts, and support high-quality proposals and RFP submissions. Working closely with the leadership and consulting teams, you'll ensure a steady pipeline of new opportunities while building strong, lasting relationships with clients.

They are part of a broader group that includes both consulting and non-profit initiatives dedicated to advancing social impact. In this role, the successful candidate will support operations across the group — contributing to both our consulting work and the foundation's initiatives.
Role Overview

As a Business Development Associate, you'll be at the forefront of client acquisition and revenue growth. You'll lead outreach efforts, convert leads into long-term accounts, and support high-quality proposals and RFP submissions. Working closely with the leadership and consulting teams, you'll ensure a steady pipeline of new opportunities while building strong, lasting relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through calls, follow-ups, and client meetings.

  • Convert warm leads and past contacts into active accounts.

  • Prepare and submit proposals, RFPs, and tender documents with the consulting team.

  • Confidently present solutions to business leaders, managers, NGOs, investors, and SMEs.

  • Manage the full sales cycle – from outreach to deal closure.

  • Maintain an updated pipeline and track progress against revenue targets.

  • Conduct market research to identify new sectors and opportunities in sustainability consulting.

  • Collaborate with consultants to deliver compelling, client-focused proposals and presentations.

  • Support relationship-building with partners, accelerators, and funding bodies.



Requirements Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field (preferred, not mandatory with strong experience).

  • 1–3 years' experience in business development, B2B sales, or client-facing roles.

  • Proven ability to generate leads, close business, and meet targets.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills – confident presenting to decision-makers.

  • Proactive, persuasive, and resilient personality with the confidence to pick up the phone.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prepare professional proposals.

  • Interest in sustainability, climate action, or social impact is an added advantage.
