Process Monitoring Assistant

Job Summary: Process Monitoring Assistant role at Kenafric Industries Limited, a leading manufacturer of Confectionery, Food, Footwear, and Stationery products in Kenya, requires a detail-oriented individual to ensure accurate and timely data entry, monitor material consumption, and maintain data integrity.
Kenafric Industries Limited, founded in 1987 by the Chedda family, is one of the largest manufacturers in Kenya, employing over 1500 people directly and touching the lives of more than 7500 people indirectly. The company's vision and relentless hard work over 25 years have given Kenafric a strong foundation for growth and success.
**Responsibilities:**
- Ensure accurate and timely SAP data entry for all production processes, while maintaining and verifying production stock records and logbooks.
- Regularly review and validate data for integrity to ensure accuracy at all stages of the manufacturing process. Where discrepancies are found, escalate.
- Design and lead weekly and monthly accurate stock takes.
- Monitor and verify the actual usage of raw materials in the production process to ensure they align with the BoM specifications.
- Ensure that the correct quantities and weights of materials are loaded according to the BoM, preventing over- or under-use during production.
- Identify and report discrepancies between physical material usage and system records (SAP). Escalate significant variances to the Factory Manager & Cost Accountant for corrective actions.
- Ensure all material usage, consumption, and rejection data are accurately recorded in the SAP system in real-time, maintaining data integrity and transparency for inventory and production management.
- Monitor material rejection rates, identify root causes for discrepancies, and work towards minimizing waste and optimizing material use in the production process.
- Liaise with the production team to ensure proper material loading and handling and resolve any immediate issues that may cause discrepancies.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve material consumption efficiency, reduce variances, and enhance data accuracy in SAP.
- Ensure that all processes related to material handling and consumption meet company quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in periodic inventory reconciliations, ensuring alignment between physical stock and SAP records.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience.
- CPA K professional qualification.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent reporting and presentation skills.
- Proficient in IT and SAP systems.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
