The job of an HR Director is to lead the human resources function and talent development.
This role is both strategic and operational, ensuring that the HR team delivers high-quality support to management and staff in alignment with global standards.
- Oversee all aspects of the firm's human resources function and talent development
- Foster an engaged, high-performing culture
This position requires a visionary leader who can develop and implement the HR strategy, aligning with the Firm's business goals and HR policies.
A strong organizational, interpersonal skills, communication, multitasking abilities and problem-solving skills are required for this role.
Talent acquisition and retention, organizational development, employee engagement, performance management, compensation and benefits, policy implementation, compliance and workforce planning are some of the key responsibilities of the HR Director.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement the HR strategy, aligning with the Firm's business goals and HR policies
- Collaborate with leadership to shape the firm's workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning
- Oversee the creation, review, and enforcement of HR policies and procedures
- Mitigate people-related risks by staying current with regulatory updates and leading internal audits where required
- Supervise end-to-end recruitment processes
- Lead initiatives in onboarding, performance management, career development, and retention
- Engage with the Professional Support team in the delivery of learning programmes
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture
- Champion engagement programs, diversity and inclusion efforts, and well-being initiatives
- Design and administer competitive compensation and benefits packages
- Manage, mentor, and develop the HR Officer(s)
- Establish team objectives and track key HR metrics
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) or equivalent
- Practising professional member with a relevant professional body
- Minimum 7 years of progressive HR and talent experience
- Knowledge of Kenyan labour laws, HR best practices and strategic planning
- Strong organizational, interpersonal skills, communication, multitasking abilities and problem-solving skills
