An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, commercially astute 
General Manager
 to lead and scale one of East Africa's most advanced berry operations.

This senior leadership role will oversee the full value chain – from cultivation through to export – across a high-performing portfolio of blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries. You'll take charge of strategic planning, operational performance, financial delivery, and customer relationships for a business with serious growth ambitions in both international and domestic markets.

We're looking for a proven leader who can combine hands-on horticultural expertise with strong commercial and financial acumen. You'll thrive on responsibility, driving innovation in crop production and post-harvest systems, ensuring world-class standards in yield, quality, and cost control.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Full operational and financial management of multi-site berry production.
  • Leading annual crop planning, CAPEX, and budget performance.
  • Driving continuous improvement in agronomy, technology, and sustainability.
  • Building trusted partnerships with key off-takers and export clients.
  • Inspiring and developing large, multi-disciplinary teams.

Ideal candidates will bring:

  • Degree (and ideally post-graduate qualification) in Agriculture, Horticulture, or Agribusiness.
  • 10+ years' leadership experience in large-scale fresh produce or superfood production.
  • Proven track record in managing P&L, forecasting, and delivering profitable growth.
  • Technical understanding of modern berry agronomy and post-harvest handling.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross-cultural management skills.
