High-Level Overview 

Client is a specialist development agency operating across more than 30 African countries to strengthen inclusive, efficient, and resilient financial systems. Its mission is to expand access to finance, channel capital into growth sectors, and drive innovation through climate resilience, early-stage finance, capital markets, and gender-focused investing. 

The client seeks to support the career transition of a long-serving senior staff member exiting the organization after eight years of service and re-entering the job market at a senior leadership level. The objective is to equip them with the confidence, tools, and strategy to successfully navigate the evolving recruitment landscape and competitively position themselves for senior roles, particularly in development, finance, policy, and sustainability spaces. 

This assignment requires a seasoned executive coach with deep expertise in leadership transitions, personal branding, and market readiness – ideally with insight into the Kenyan and African job markets. The coach must deliver high-impact, outcome-oriented support under tight timelines, with a practical and empathetic style. 

Role and Responsibilities
Role: Executive Outplacement Coach
Direct Report: HR Manager  
Candidates Required: 1

Key Deliverables:
  • Provide tailored coaching sessions on personal branding and leadership positioning, aligned with the candidate's track record and aspirations 
  • Conduct in-depth reviews of CV and LinkedIn profiles to align with senior market expectations 
  • Equip the candidate with practical strategies for interviews and negotiations 
  • Guide the candidate in navigating the senior job market, including role mapping, networking approaches, and visibility within the ATP talent database 


Requirements Experience Required:
  • 5+ years of experience in executive coaching, career transition advisory, or senior-level HR consulting 
  • Demonstrated success supporting C-suite or senior professionals through leadership transitions 
  • Familiarity with Kenyan and/or broader African employment landscapes, especially in development and finance sectors 

Technical Requirements:
  • Expertise in leadership development, career strategy, and personal branding 
  • Strong grasp of executive hiring trends, CV optimization, and LinkedIn positioning 
  • Coaching certification (e.g., ICF, EMCC) preferred 

Other Skills:
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to build trust and deliver empowering support quickly 
  • Discreet, empathetic, and results-driven coaching style 
  • Comfortable delivering structured support in time-constrained settings 
  • Familiarity with the Kenyan job market is an advantage
