Oboya Horticulture is part of the Oboya Group, a global leader in providing sustainable and innovative solutions for the horticultural industry. We supply high-quality products such as plant trolleys, packaging, growing systems, and logistics equipment — helping growers, exporters, and retailers optimize their operations and improve efficiency.
As we continue to expand in Africa, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Sales Representative to lead our business development activities in Kenya, one of the most important horticultural hubs in the region.
Position Overview
The Sales Representative will be responsible for developing Oboya's market presence in Kenya, managing key customer relationships, and driving sales growth across the horticultural value chain. The role requires a proactive and results-oriented professional with strong sales experience and an understanding of the horticulture or agricultural supply sector.
Please note: Only candidates with proven experience in sales will be considered for this position.
Key Responsibilities
l Develop and execute sales strategies to expand Oboya's presence in Kenya.
l Build and maintain strong relationships with growers, exporters, distributors, and retailers.
l Identify new business opportunities and market segments.
l Promote and sell Oboya's range of horticultural products, including trolleys, packaging, and greenhouse solutions.
l Provide technical and commercial support to customers.
l Collaborate with the international sales and product teams to align with global company goals.
l Attend trade fairs, exhibitions, and customer visits.
l Prepare detailed sales reports and forecasts.
Qualifications & Experience
l Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience in sales, ideally within horticulture, agriculture, or logistics equipment.
l Strong understanding of horticultural operations, greenhouse systems, or export logistics.
l Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
l Self-driven, organized, and capable of managing sales independently.
l Fluent in English; knowledge of Swahili is an advantage.
l Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently within Kenya and the East African region.
