Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Procurement Officer to manage the procurement process for our security solutions projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, reliability, and delivery times.
  • Analyze supplier quotations to determine the best value for the organization.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers, including terms, pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure seamless operations.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and procedures for streamlined processes.
  • Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock.
  • Evaluate compliance with procurement laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to establish budgets and track expenses.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in the procurement process.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSP-K).
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective organizational and time management abilities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, preferably within the technology or security sector. The estimated salary range is KES 100,000 per year, depending on experience.
