Job Summary The role of the Business Development Officer (PartnershipsChannel) is to support ICEA LION Asset Management's (ILAM) retail growthstrategy by establishing and nurturing strong business partnerships in order todrive sales. The job holder works closely with the partners to ensure they havethe necessary resources and support to effectively promote and sell ourproducts and services (i.e. unit trust funds, wealth management). Roles and Responsibilities ·       Sales Promote and sell ILAM's investment products through partnersand affinity groups to achieve the annual set target Discover new channel partners and assess their potential tocontribute to our sales objectives and market penetration. Identify, establish and sustain robust relationships withpartners and affinity groups. Prepare and deliver proposals and presentations toprospective and existing partners and affinity groups. Oversee partner agreements, ensure adherence and optimizepartner satisfaction and performance. Work with partners to create and execute joint marketinginitiatives to generate demand and boost sales. Train and assist partners to ensure they are knowledgeable aboutour products or services and can effectively market and sell them. Evaluate and provide feedback on partner performance andsuggest areas for improvement. Stay up to date with industry developments, competitivedynamics, and market conditions to identify new opportunities and potentialthreats.10.   Liaise with the teams in Research, Business Development,Portfolio Managers and Client Service teams to identify opportunities to meetclients' requirements.11.   Keep abreast with developments in local, regional and globalfinancial markets, investment products and opportunities to give appropriateinvestment advice.12.   Measure and provide reports on partner sales production vstargets, partner operations and growth prospects within the required timeframe. ·       Client Service & Relationship Management Deliver personalized services in an effective and efficientmanner to partners and their clients in regards to their investments. Provide support for all client/partner engagement events andinitiatives e.g. e.g. investor and partner education, annual investmentconferences, client/partner appreciation events, corporate gifts etc. Ensure partnerrequests and complaints are addressed within the shortest turnaround time. Act as arelationship manager and ensure partners and their client base receive anoverall positive experience.·       Product/SolutionDevelopment Actively participatein product innovation, development and review. Keep abreast withthe changing needs of the partners and periodically review existing productsand propositions. Requirements Core Technical & Behavioral Competencies·       Strong sales and networking skills with theability to generate own pipeline and close sales·       Good communication and presentation skills·       Good interpersonal and relationship managementskills·       Strong persuasion and negotiation skills.·       High standards of ethics and integrity Good working knowledge of the financial services industry and financialproducts·       Results -oriented with the ability to workunder pressure to meet sales targets·       Driven and goal -oriented, focused on success·       Customer -oriented mentality with good businesssense·       Analytical mindset with the ability to usedata and make data -driven decisions.·       Comprehensive knowledge of the financialservices industry, market, and competitive environment·       Demonstrable track record of sourcing and closingB2B partnerships·       Proven success in managing channel partnersand meeting sales objectives.  Academic and Professional Experience. ·       At least 4 years' experience in a sales role within the financialservices industry ·       Successful track record managingpartnership channels and meeting sales objectives·       Bachelors'degree in a Business or related discipline from an accredited University Professionalqualification e.g. CISI is an added advantage
