Job Summary Reporting to the Head of AlternativeDistribution Channels & Client Services, the role of the BusinessDevelopment Officer (Direct Business distribution channel) is to support ICEA LION Asset Management's (ILAM) retail growth strategy by increasing the clients and sales productionunder this distribution channel and maintaining the client portfolio. The roleinvolves promoting and selling ILAM's investmentproducts and solutions (i.e. unit trust funds, wealth management) to existingand prospective individual and corporate clients while adhering to professionaland ethical standards at all times. Roles and Responsibilities Sales1. Promote and sell ILAM's investment products to achieve the annual set target.2. Prepare & deliver proposals / presentations toprospective and existing clients.3. Sign up, manage and retain clients and their portfolios.4. Understand the client's risk and return profile, recommendinvestment opportunities and ensure periodic investment portfolio review withthe clients.5. Keep abreast with developments in local, regional and globalfinancial markets, investment products and opportunities to give appropriateinvestment advice.6. Liaise with the teams in Research, Business Development,Portfolio Managers and Client Service teams to identify opportunities to meetclients' requirements.7. Provide weekly production reports versus targets within therequired timeframe.8. Sustain robust relationships with clients9. Provide support for all client engagement events andinitiatives e.g. investor education, client appreciation events, clientgifting. · Client Service & Relationship Management1. Deliver personalized services in an effective and efficientmanner to clients under the Direct Business distribution channel in regards totheir investments2. Provide support for all client engagement events andinitiatives e.g. e.g. investor education, annual investment conferences, clientappreciation events, corporate gifts, media investor briefings etc.3. Management of Direct Business client database.4. Ensure client requests and complaints are addressed withinthe shortest turnaround time.5. Act as a relationship manager to the client portfolio and ensureclients receive an overall positive experience. · Product/Solution Development1. Actively participate in product innovation, development andreview.2. Possible entrance into new markets i.e. help identifyopportunities in regional markets, counties and various industries3. Keep abreast with the changing needs of the clients andperiodically review existing products and propositions. Socially confident/amiable - At ease with meeting people and is quick toestablish rapportHigh standards of ethics and integrity Academic and Professional Experience · At least 4 years' experience in a sales or relationship management rolewithin the financial services industry · Successful track record managingclients and/or meeting sales objectives· Bachelors'degree in a Business or related discipline from an accredited University.· Professionalqualification e.g. CISI level 1 is an added advantage
