Responsibilities: ·       Gaining new business by identifying and exploiting new businessopportunities in the regional market;·       Looking for and opening new GroupRisks and Retirement Benefits markets within the region.·       Providing competitive quotations to prospects.·       Consulting on the most effective cover for a particular need,while taking a number of factors into account.·       Setting up meetings, preparing and delivering presentations topotential clients.·       Developing and maintaining good working relationships withintermediaries and existing customers.·       Training and supporting Tied Life Agents (TLAs) in the region ongroup business.·      Training and supporting intermediaries in respect of retirementbenefit schemes and group risks.·  Introducing new products and promoting them through regularvisits and frequent communication with intermediaries, existing clients andprospects.·     Ensuring credibility with clients by maintaining detailedknowledge of current market conditions and competitors' products.·      Delivering good customer service by responding swiftly toqueries and concerns from clients.·       Attending service meetings of Group Risks customers.·       Attending meetings for trustees/AGMs and providing education onretirement plans to scheme members.·       Providing management with market feedback and intelligence.·       Monitoring and reporting on performance against agreed sales andretention targets.·       Preparing regular management reports. RequirementsRequirementsThe position will suit candidates already resident or would beable to easily settle in the Mt Kenya Region. In addition, prospectivecandidates will possess or demonstrate the following qualities: ​·       An undergraduate degree in abusiness or social science related field.·       Have ACII or IIK qualification ordemonstrate significant progress towards attainment of the same.·       At least 4 years' experience inmarketing of life and pensions solutions to corporates and organized groups.·       Thorough familiarity with the marketin the Mt Kenya Region will be an added advantage.·       Good business sense.·       Appreciable understanding of theKenya insurance market, the prevailing business environment and products by thecompetition.·       Good communications skills, bothwritten and verbal.·       Self -motivated but able to work aspart of a team.·       Good organizational andtime -management skills.·       Positive attitude, self -motivated,self -driven and able to work with minimal supervision.·       Good negotiation skills and persuasiveness.·       Confidence presenting to largegroups of people.·       Trustworthiness and discretion whenhandling confidential information.·       A smart appearance and professionalmanner.
