Seeking a visionary General Manager to lead the Solar Water Heater Division of a renowned provider of cutting-edge solar water heating solutions in Nairobi, Kenya.

Salary Range KSh 200,000 - KSh 300,000/month

Job Description:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Craft and implement innovative strategies to drive division growth and profitability.
    • Establish clear objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the team's success.
  • Business Operations:
    • Manage the supply, installation, and overall delivery of solar water heaters and heat pumps with precision and quality.
    • Optimize project efficiency by managing budgets, resources, and timelines for maximum profitability.
  • Customer Relations:
    • Cultivate strong, lasting relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Address customer inquiries and resolve any concerns with professionalism and timeliness.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare and present regular performance reports, covering sales, revenue, expenses, and profitability metrics.
    • Analyze market trends and competitor actions to identify potential opportunities and risks.
  • Business Expansion:
    • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional services and products, enhancing customer value.
    • Develop and execute strategies to penetrate new markets, expanding the division's footprint.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
  • Proven leadership experience, particularly in senior management roles within the renewable energy industry.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to drive performance and innovation.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A deep understanding of solar water heating systems and related technologies.
  • A track record of success in driving business growth and hitting targets.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and techniques.
  • In-depth knowledge of local regulations and standards related to solar energy installations.
